@susiesseniordogs (near) LANCASTER, PA: 9 year old Sassy is a fireball! Age has nothing on this girl's energy level. She loves exploring, playing a good game of fetch, and going on long walks. And she's a big fan of humans and will happily tag along with you to any outing. Weighing just 25 pounds, Sassy's size is sturdy yet manageable. She's really an overall fun gal! Surprisingly, Sassy has been in the rescue circuit for the last nine months. Her age may turn a few people off but the right person will understand that Sassy is really in the prime of her life. @seniordoghaven wrote, "At the age of 9, Sassy was brought to a local SPCA in September 2018 when her owner could no longer take care of her. Kennel attendants noted that she was well-liked in the shelter and had always kept her kennel clean. They could not understand why she had been overlooked for three months, and we certainly can’t either! She began her fostering journey with us in December 2018.
Sassy is loving, funny, and definitely sassy. She has a wide-ranging energy level and can go for long walks or play fetch for hours, but she is also happy napping by your side when you work from home or wish to sleep in on the weekends. Sassy has done fantastically well with all humans from babies to seniors. She loves car rides, watching traffic from a window, and being in the presence of people.
Sassy would be best as the only pet in the house (no cats or dogs). Outdoors, she can be easily redirected when dogs are in view. She will change her stance to show she’s interested in them. This may be followed by barking, but honestly, we catch her at the antecedent stage so the barking rarely follows!
Sassy is healthy, on no medications, up to date on shots and housebroken. Her name suits her, and her ideal home will maintain boundaries with Sassy to let her know that she is safe and loved.
