#tb 40 weeks in and 2 years out 👶🏼💙 I am still amazed every day on how we women are able to carry a human inside of our body for nine freaking months and then give birth, it’s pretty crazy if you ask me. So why should we be ashamed of how our body looks after? It has done a hell of a job during those 9 months. I gained 59 lbs during my pregnancy 🤰🏻 and lost it after #8monthspostpartum while breastfeeding 🤱🏻. But you know what? That was never my goal, I actually wanted to be the healthiest mom i can be for my baby. I remember all the things ppl told me while pregnant 🤰🏻 «day good by to your body», «it’s ok to be overweight after having a baby», «You will not loose all the extra weight », «Your belly is huge you gained to much weight ».... Well guess what, it’s not true . But it seems often to me like bodyshaming is totally OK. For some odd reason people find comfort in it.
I’m TOTALLY aware that my experience is not what most of other women has, but it’s still not OK to bodyshame either way. We all have our own battles in the everyday life, and you never know what a person would take as a harmful sentence.. Respect that we all are different, beautiful and equaly worthy 🧡.
